PCC Announces Caerphilly Surgery

16eg Rhagfyr 2016

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent (PCC) is providing Caerphilly residents with the opportunity to meet with him face to face to discuss police and crime issues in their area.

From this month, Gwent PCC Jeff Cuthbert will be hosting monthly, informal surgeries at various locations across Gwent, offering an opportunity for members of the local community to speak with him directly.

The first of these surgeries will be held between 10am and 12pm on Saturday, November 19th, at the VAN-Guard Centre (Van Road, Caerphilly CF83 1JZ) in Caerphilly.

Mr Cuthbert said: "I am in the process of developing a police and crime plan for Gwent and I want to ensure that it reflects the police and crime issues facing our diverse communities. Only by listening to people's issues and concerns and putting the needs of the individual at the heart of what we do can we seek to provide the best possible quality of life for our citizens. This is why hosting surgeries during times which are convenient to the public will be essential over the next four years."

The surgeries will allow two hours for one to one sessions. Residents can raise any comments or questions they may have around policing and hold him to account. Further surgery dates throughout Gwent will be announced in due course.
