The Commissioner is required to determine the budget for 2016/17 and then set the council tax precept in consultation with the Police and Crime Panel. The proposals were endorsed by the Panel on the 22nd January 2016.

The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 requires the Police and Crime Commissioner to appoint a person to be head of the Commissioner's staff. A report was submitted to the Police and Crime Panel on the 15th January 2016 with the appointment endorsed at a confirmation hearing on the 22nd January 2016.

The force Freedom of Information Officer will assist the OPCC with any reviews/appeals that are received until the procedure can be reviewed and suitable amendments made.

The Gwent Police Choir provides support to numerous charitable causes across the country and provides a positive image of Gwent Police in the community and organisations they perform for.

PACE have now finalised their research and a script produced for the film; due to the on-going need for this film, the money originally granted has been awarded.

Get Safe Online is a public/private sector partnership supported by Central Government as well as leading organisations in banking, retail, internet security and other sectors. The organisation provides a mechanism to prevent and reduce cyber crime and fraud across all levels of society in Gwent.

A national theatre company will be utilised to perform a play on the issues of CSE to year 8 pupils in 36 secondary schools in Gwent. Each of the schools has also committed £350 of funding to the total cost of the project which is £23,622. SEWCSB will need to ensure that the shortfall in funding is met.
