International Control Room Week

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jeff Cuthbert, has praised the hard work and dedication of the staff at Gwent Police’s control room.

Jeff Cuthbert said: “This week we take a moment to recognise the unsung heroes of Gwent Police, the control room team. Their hard work and dedication to their role, and to the people of Gwent, has never been more apparent.

“The team field thousands of calls, emails and social media messages 365 days a year and since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic the demand for their services has been incredibly high.

“I would like to thank them all for their hard work, and for going above and beyond the call of duty every day to help protect and reassure the people of Gwent.”
