The Night Ambassadors Project in Newport delivers a highly visible, preventative presence within Newport's night-time economy; reducing opportunities for violence and disorder through early intervention, de-escalation, and safeguarding.

This decision log acts as an extension to Decision Log PCCG-2025-028 of March 2026.  This decision is based on the impact the project has had, so as to ensure continued provision of its service.

Media Academy Cymru (Pan Gwent) has been awarded £44,108.25 towards the provision of a Case Manager to continue to dismantle the violent narratives of misogyny and focus on the often termed ‘manosphere’. The initiative will broaden and raise awareness of these issues to safeguard and prevent the risk of radicalised extreme masculinity ideologies. The aim is to encourage and support children and young people to adopt pro-social values and attitudes irrespective of gender.
