Halloween locked-down event

27th October 2020

This Halloween Urban Circle Newport and G-Expressions are hosting a week of online games, events and challenges for children and young people, culminating in a special event on Halloween night where £200 of prises will be given out every hour.

The event, which has been part funded through the Police and Crime Commissioner’s community fund, aims to give young people a fantastic Halloween experience from their own homes in a safe, online environment.

Loren Henry, co-founder of Urban Circle, said: “Every year we host a Halloween themed music event organised by young people, for young people. This year the event is online but we aim to provide young people with the same adrenaline and excitement that they would find at a real event, while providing them a safe place to create, interact and have fun.”

Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jeff Cuthbert, said: “The young people at Urban Circle has shown some fantastic initiative and their hard work and dedication to creating this event is admirable.

“The great thing about this online event is that young people from across Gwent can take part, and I hope it will allow those missing out on their usual Halloween to still have some fun and enjoyment in a safe environment.”
