Help Transform the Lives of Victims and Witnesses in Gwent
The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Gwent, Ian Johnston, is looking for a confident and charismatic individual with experience of working within the criminal justice system to lead on the development and delivery of a new victim and witness care service or 'Hub' for Gwent.
The successful post holder will ensure victims and witnesses are supported throughout the justice process and receive the information and guidance they need to cope with their victimisation. The aim in the shorter term is to provide support to the needs of a victim in the immediate aftermath of a crime and to reduce the long term impact on future emotional, mental and physical wellbeing of both victims and witnesses.
Gwent PCC Ian Johnston is working in partnership with statutory and third sector agencies to deliver the new innovative service which is currently in the planning stage and scheduled for full implementation in 2015.
