Gwent Young Farmers

I was pleased to be invited to join Gwent Young Farmers last week for a regional competition to determine who will represent Gwent at the upcoming Wales Young Farmers Entertainment Feast.

Gwent Young Farmers offers children and young people a chance to socialise and learn new skills in a fun and safe environment. Although it has its roots in farming, it is open to all young people in Gwent.

I have supported the organisation through the High Sheriff’s Fund, to which I make an annual contribution, and it was a pleasure to see the benefits that it is bringing to so many young people.

Abergavenny Young Farmers Club was the eventual winners and I wish the members all the best at the national event.
