Gwent Commissioner Welcomes 14 Special Constables to the Force

The officers were attested in a ceremony last night.

Mr Johnston said:

"I would personally like to congratulate every single one of the Special Constables passing out this evening. I remember my excitement and eagerness when I joined the force as a probationer all those years ago, and it really is commendable that you are volunteering your spare time to help protect and reassure the communities of Gwent.

"We have a great Special Constable Community in Gwent which work seamlessly alongside regular police constable colleagues. Special Constables form a invaluable part of our policing family and we really do appreciate your efforts."
