Gwent Commissioner attends All Wales Commissioners' meeting

2nd August 2013

The All Wales Policing Group meeting was hosted by North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Winston Roddick. It's the third time the Group has met since the Commissioners were elected in November last year.

They met in Llandrindod Wells in January and in Gwent in April. The quarterly meetings bring together the Chief Constables and Police and Crime Commissioners from all four Welsh Police Forces to discuss all Wales strategic issues and to identify common issues where they can work together for the good of residents and victims of crime.

Mr Johnston attended the meeting with the Chief Constable, Jeff Farrar: "These meetings are really useful as we can address common issues, share and discuss approaches and learn from each other. There were a number of issues of mutual concern on the agenda that we can take forward collectively"
