Funding available for community safety initiatives in Gwent
Applications are now open to the Gwent High Sheriff’s Fund.
Groups can apply for grants of up to £5000 for projects that help to reduce crime and improve safety in their community.
Successful applicants are decided at a participatory grant making event which allows local people to decide which initiatives would best address local issues.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has contributed £60,000 to the fund.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert said: “I am committed through my Police and Crime Plan to preventing crime and antisocial behaviour in our communities.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to access funding for projects that will make a real difference and improve safety in their area.”
Applications must be submitted by 12pm on Monday 23 of November. For more information and to make an application visit the Community Foundation Wales website.
