Fearless team take county lines film on the road
The team from Fearless, which receives funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, have joined forces with the British Transport Police to raise awareness of County Lines drugs gangs with passengers at Newport Railway Station.
County Lines is the name given to drug networks operated by criminal gangs outside of their home cities and towns.
Young people can get advice or report crimes anonymously to Fearless, which is the youth service of the charity Crimestoppers.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jeff Cuthbert said: “Rail lines are regularly used by children and young people who have been exploited by criminal gangs to carry drugs between towns and cities.
“These young people are often some of the most vulnerable in our society and this is an excellent idea by the team to raise awareness of this important issue.
Issues can be recorded anonymously via the Fearless website.
