Celebrating young people in Brynmawr

I was honoured to be invited by Brynmawr Rotary Club recently to celebrate the success of young people who have been working for the benefit of their community.

The young people are part of the Bryn Farm and Coed Cae Interact Groups which receive funding from my office. They are supported to engage in a wide range of activities, from cooking, litter picking and community events, and are gaining qualifications and skills which will help them in the future.

As well as supporting young people the project helps their families too, running a food bank, community kitchen and offering other support for those in need.

This project, the team behind it and the young people involved are making a real difference in this community and I would like to commend them all for their hard work.
