Calling all Detective Constables

We're looking for transferee Detective Constable Applicants for a number of roles within Gwent Police. YOU can join us to contribute to a safer Gwent.

You would have the opportunity of working in a mix of rural and urban communities, giving you the opportunity to experience a wide range of different challenges on a daily basis.

We are looking to recruit qualified and experienced Detective Constables who hold the ICIDP qualification to join our ranks and fill various vacancies across the Gwent area. Do you have the skills and experience to offer, and looking for an environment to put these to the best possible use?

Applicants are sought from other Home Office Forces and must have completed their probationary period.
We have vacancies for Detective Constables to transfer into a number of specialisms including:

  • Public Protection Unit
  • Local Policing Areas
  • Digital Investigation
  • Fraud Investigation
  • Cyber Investigation


IS THIS YOU?

Are you an accredited Detective Constable, with skills and experience in managing a range of complex investigations, and/or Do you have experience of digital evidence gathering, dealing with cyber-enabled crimes, Understanding of a range of cyber-security vulnerabilities and the appropriate ways to respond to Cybercrime?

In addition to the application form, applicants will be required to undergo vetting and references, pass an interview, fitness test, drugs test and a Health Check.
