Two duties are placed on public authorities under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Notwithstanding applicable exemptions, the first duty at, Section 1(1) (a), is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a request is held. The second duty at, Section1 (1) (b), is to disclose information that has been confirmed as being held. Under the provisions of those sections of the FOIA, we can confirm that the information you seek is partly held by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent. Please find responses below:

  1. Did your office apply?

I can confirm that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent did submit an application but despite all other areas of the bid meeting the assessment criteria, the sustainability of the proposed project (past 31st March 2021 when the Safer Streets funding ends) did not, therefore the application was declined.

The Safer Streets grant application was completed online therefore we do not hold the information.

  1. Provide a copy of any grant letter(s) received together with any conditions attached to the grant(s)

Please see answer to question 1.

  1. Any information held with regards to ongoing revenue costs not covered by the Home Office grant.

Please see answer to question 1.
