The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to award funding to external partner organisations to deliver serious violence and organised crime pilot interventions as part of the Serious Violence and Organised Crime Project during 2021/22 totalling £164,794.

Funding has been awarded to the following organisations:

St Giles Trust - £123,794

* To deliver one to one crisis intervention to young people and their families, at risk of involvement or involved in serious violence and organised crime; and co-deliver the ‘Fearless’ Programme in Schools with Crimestoppers.

Crimestoppers Trust - £41,000

* To co-deliver the Fearless Programme to Year 7 pupils in educational establishments with St Giles Trust; and provide targeted support to schools in hotspot areas where serious violence or organised crime is an issue.
