As part of the work undertaken towards the introduction of the Police and Crime Commissioner, the four Welsh Police Authorities agreed to revise and update a number of key Human Resources policies to ensure they were fit for purpose and suitable for use under the Police and Crime Commissioner. The Capability Policy and Procedure was previously approved on an all Wales basis on 30th March 2012 and by Gwent Police Authority on the 28th May 2012 and has been adhered to since this date.
