The Independent Custody Visiting Scheme is a statutory Scheme under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act Part 3 Section 299 whose responsibility and oversight lies with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, in consultation with the Chief Constable.

Decision note PCCG-2020-060, signed 17^th March 2021, confirmed the appointment of Willmott Dixon as the main construction contractor for the Abergavenny Police Station, utilising the ‘Places for People – Major Projects Hub’ framework number DN298568. It is a national framework owned by Procurement Hub and is a compliant route to market.  

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) are increasing the funding provided to Police and Crime Commissioners for community-based services by £6m, taking the total funding pot ring-fenced for Police & Crime Commissioners to commission Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence services to circa £21.7m.

The post of All Wales Integrated Offender Management (IOM) Senior Analyst was created by Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), the four Welsh Police and Crime Commissioners and Welsh Government, to support the integrated offender management arrangements by building and sustaining professional strategic and tactical capability serving all partners across Wales.
