Young people turn the spotlight on leading figures
Children and young people from across Gwent put their questions to leading figures at the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Youth Question Time event this month.
More than 130 people attended to put their questions to a panel chaired by Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd.
Answering questions on the night were Assistant Chief Constable of Gwent Police, Vicky Townshend; the Leader of the Gwent Public Services Board, Anthony Hunt; Shereen Williams MBE, CEO of the Democracy and Boundary Commission Wales; and TV presenter Lloyd Lewis.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “I was thrilled that we had such a great turnout and would like to thank everyone who attended on the night to ask their questions.
“Last year I launched my Children’s Charter, and I made a commitment to children and young people in Gwent that I would listen to their views, and make sure the services we provide are the best they can be.
“My Youth Question Time gave young people the chance to put questions that really matter to them directly to leading figures from across Gwent, reinforcing the commitment I made in my charter, while helping to build trust and confidence between our children and young people and public services.”
