Speaking up for Abergavenny: PCC puts community questions to Chief Constable

26th September 2025

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd held her latest Public Accountability Forum with Chief Constable Mark Hobrough to discuss issues affecting Abergavenny and the surrounding area.

The Commissioner’s Public Accountability Forum provides a platform for Commissioner Mudd to highlight key concerns raised by communities across Gwent and bring them directly to the attention of the Chief Constable.

The latest forum was recorded at Abergavenny Community Centre and is available to view on the Commissioner’s website and social media channels.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “My Public Accountability Forum is a platform for raising the real issues people are facing here in Gwent and addressing them publicly at the highest level.

“By challenging the Chief Constable in a transparent, public setting, we are not just promoting accountability, we’re actively shaping a police service that listens, evolves, and truly reflects the priorities of the people of Gwent.”
