Neighbourhood Policing Week
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd visited Gwent Police’s team in Tredegar during Neighbourhood Policing Week.
The Commissioner visited the station to meet with the area inspector and members of the local team.
The visit took place during Neighbourhood Policing Week, which aims to shine a spotlight on the good work neighbourhood police teams do to protect communities.
Jane Mudd said: “It was great to get out into our communities during Neighbourhood Policing Week and meet some of the police officers and PCSOs working to keep our communities safe.
“Chief Constable Mark Hobrough and I are united in our commitment to increase visible policing in our communities. This is what our residents have told us they want and that is why it forms a key part of my newly launched Police, Crime and Justice Plan.
“The neighbourhood teams are crucial to this. They work in our communities every day and do a huge amount of work to protect our residents.”
