Gwent’s newest officers ready to serve
A new group of student officers has successfully completed their initial training with Gwent Police and will now begin their operational duties across the region.
The officers will be joining teams in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, and Torfaen, where they will continue to build on their skills and gain valuable frontline experience.
Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd joined the new officers, their families and Gwent Police colleagues for a formal passing out parade, which marks the end of an officer’s initial training.
Commissioner Mudd said: “Each of these officers has shown great dedication and determination in reaching this significant milestone. They should be extremely proud of their achievements.
“Chief Constable Mark Hobrough and I remain committed to enhancing police visibility throughout Gwent, and these officers will play a vital role in helping us achieve that goal. I’m confident they will receive a warm welcome in the communities they serve.
“Policing is a demanding yet deeply rewarding profession, and I wish them every success as they begin their careers.”
