Funding available for projects that build community cohesion

20th February 2026

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd is making funding available for projects that help build community cohesion and strengthen trust and confidence in public services across Gwent.

Community groups, charities, social enterprises, and organisations with a community focus can apply for up to £5,000 to support their projects and events.

She said: “People across Gwent have told me they want safer, stronger communities where everyone feels supported and protected. One way we can achieve this is by developing projects and events that bring people together and support those who are too often marginalised.

“Our communities have the power to create lasting change, and they are best placed to lead it. To do that, they need the right support. I’m proud to invest in that potential and to use money recovered from criminal activity to help build a fairer, safer society.”
