Its new facility in Newport has transformed derelict buildings into a fully refurbished centre which will provide support and a safe environment for thousands of survivors of abuse and violence.
Commissioner Mudd said: “I was honoured to join our partners at New Pathways for the opening of their fantastic new centre. Listening to survivors tell their stories was incredibly powerful and reaffirms why a centre such as this is needed in Gwent.
“My new Police, Crime and Justice Plan places a strong focus on supporting women, girls and all victims of violence and abuse. I am committed to working with partners to do all I can to reduce the trauma faced by survivors of these appalling crimes, and make a difference to our communities.”
