Police, Crime and Justice Plan road show

2nd May 2025

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, Jane Mudd, and her team have been busy talking to communities in Gwent about her new Police, Crime and Justice Plan.

In recent weeks the team have visited Blaenavon, Brynmawr, Caerphilly, Caerleon, Chepstow, Cwm, Newport city centre, Pillgwenlly, Ringland, Risca and Tredegar.

They have used the sessions to talk to residents about the five key priorities in the Commissioner’s Police, Crime and Justice plan which are:

  • Preventing Crime and Anti-Social behaviour
  • Making our Communities Safer
  • Protecting the Vulnerable
  • Putting Victims First
  • Reducing Reoffending

The full plan is available on the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner website.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Mudd said: “This plan is the result of many months of public engagement and now we are revisiting communities and talking to residents about how their feedback has shaped the plan, and will help to guide Gwent Police over the coming years.

“I am committed to continuing the conversation with residents and have also recently launched new ways to stay up to date with my work. You can now follow us on Bluesky and Threads as well as Facebook and Instagram, and sign up to our Whatsapp channel for updates.”
