In April 2016, The Commissioner and Chief Constable published a Joint Strategic Equality Plan 2016-2020 and Equality Objectives in line with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duty Regulations) 2011.
The Strategic Equality Plan (SEP) is based on the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s guidelines provided to devolved public sector bodies in Wales. It draws together information about the organisation, its commitment to equality and other related information that supports the equality objectives.
This document replaces the previous OPCC Strategic Equality Plan 2012-2016.
Progress against the SEP is monitored annually via an Annual Report.
