Strategy and Performance Board, 21st May 2018
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to provide the two Local Policing Area (LPA) Superintendents with £10,000 each to establish a Positive Impact Fund to assist in the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan priorities.
Each LPA will be expected to comply with the same process as the Positive Impact Fund run by the OPCC (PCCG-2013-123) and provide an annual expenditure report for review at the end of each financial year.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has undertaken an inspection of files relating to complaints made against Gwent Police officers and staff.
The Commissioner is satisfied that the complaints examined had been dealt with appropriately by the Chief Constable.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to amend the frequency of the Strategy and Performance Board from every other month to quarterly and has also approved the Forward Work Plan effective from 1st April 2018.
The Strategy and Performance Board (SPB) is the primary forum at which the Commissioner holds the Chief Constable to account in accordance with section 1(8) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. The SPB is also the primary consultation forum for strategic decisions that affect both the Commissioner and the Chief Constable.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to fund Umbrella Cymru to provide an interim children and young people's victim service within Connect Gwent.
The provision of victims services to children and young people is being expanded and improved and as such a new tender process is being progressed. There has been a delay in progressing the tender release and as such Umbrella Gwent will provide the service for a period of 6 months from 9th April 2018 to 9th July 2018 for a total cost of £2,000.
