Previous publication of decision number PCCG-2012-030 confirmed my intention to continue to provide grants from the Police Property Act Fund to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour or divert people away from crime.

A public application process throughout February resulted in the Funding Adjudication Panel awarding funds to the value of £50,551.50 to the projects as stated in the decision log below.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has approved the adoption of the principles of the Local Government Act 1972 Schedule 12A relating to exemption of information to the public.

The Commissioner, under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, Sections 9&10, has the ability to make crime and disorder grants.

Considering the requirements under the Act, the current service provision landscape in Gwent and the progress made to date in producing a commissioning framework the Commissioner has decided to support the OWL scheme for the financial period 2013/14.

The OWL scheme will need to provide evidence to show that the funding allocated is being used effectively to meet my policing priorities as set out in my Police and Crime Plan 2013/17.
