Property which comes into the possession of the police in connection with a crime and where the owner cannot be found can be sold. The money is kept in a Police Property Act Fund with the proceeds then used to make payments for policing purposes.

The Panel initiatives support my priorities as stipulated in the Police and Crime Plan and therefore i have decided to provide them with a one off funding grant of £1000.00 to support their work this year.

The grant is provided on the basis that I will receive such information as necessary to reassure me that the grant funding has been used effectively to provide a service that supports my priorities for Gwent.

The Police and Crime Commissioner, as the employer of police staff within Gwent police, owes a duty for the health and safety under Section 2 HSWA and a similar duty to non-employees under Section 3 HSWA.
