The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to extend the contract for tNational Driver Offender Rehabilitation Courses with TTC Group for an additional six (6) months, in accordance with paragraph 124(b) of the Manual of Corporate Gove
The six (6) month extension will commence on 1st June 2019. The contract will initially be extended with the supplier until 31st August 2019 and if needed, will be extended again until 30th November 2019.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has monitored the performance of his office during 2018/19 in relation to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
FOIA provides access to information held by public authorities. Under the FOIA, public authorities are obliged to publish certain informationabout their activities, this is referred to as a Publication Scheme. Members of the public are also entitles to request any recorded information held by them.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has monitored the independent scrutiny of Gwent Police's use of stop and search and use of force powers by the Legitimacy Scrutiny Panel.
The Legitimacy Scrutiny Panel exercise took place in October 2018.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has monitored the Animal Welfare Scheme minutes from the 18th February 2019 and is satisfied with progress.
Strategy and Performance Board, 6th March 2019
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has approved the Asset Management Strategy 2019-2022.
The Commissioner is responsible for approving the overall framework of accountability and control and monitoring compliance in relation to asset management as set out in the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent's Manual of Corporate Governance, paragraph 1.1.4.
The Strategy was approved at the Strategy and Performance Board Meeting held on 6th March 2018.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has approved the amendments to the Manual of Corporate Governance.
A review of the Manual of Corporate Governance is undertaken on an annual basis by the Strategic Planning Group. The Joint Audit Committee recommended approval of the amendments at their meeting held on 4th March 2019 before final approval was requested from the Commissioner and Chief Constable at the Strategy and Performance Board Meeting on 6th March 2018.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has undertaken an inspection of files relating to complaints made against Gwent Police officers and staff.
The Commissioner is satisfied that the complaints examined had been dealt with appropriately by the Chief Constable.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has approved an extension to the framework for the provision for the destruction and disposal of protectively marked waste in accordance with paragraph 124(b) of the Manual of Corporate Governance.
The contract has been extended for 6 months from 1st April 2019 to 31st October 2019.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has confirmed the Police and Crime Budget for 2019-20.
The Commissioner is required to determine the budget for 2019-20 and then set the council tax precept in consultation with the Police and Crime Panel.
