The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed to extend the Women's Diversion Scheme contract for Gwent with Women's Aid (Newport) for an additional 12 months from 1st April 2017 at a cost of £77,322.

The extension of the current contract will allow for a robust commissioning process to be developed in order for the provision to continue into 2018/19 and beyond. It has also been agreed that an all-Wales approach would be explored for future provision.
