The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent has agreed the commissioning of a Criminal Justice Substance Misuse Integrated Offender Recovery Interventions Service from the 1st April 2014.

The Commissioner is requested to agree to commission the service for 4 years with the provision to extend 1+1 years allowing for the current term of the Commissioner to oversee the management of the commissioned service, together with allowing the newly elected Commissioner twelve months in which to evaluate the provision of the Gwent DIP model.
