Question

1. Could you please provide the name of the facility (e.g. Bargoed Police Station) and whether under the new police & crime plan that the premise will remain open. Could you also include rented office spaces (e.g. where DIP is housed).

Answer

The information we hold can be accessed via the link below:
www.gwent.pcc.police.uk/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/General/17.08.01_Estate_Strategy_Report.pdf

Additional buildings other than police stations utilised (rented and owned) by the Police and Crime Commissioner can be found on the last page (page 21) of the above mentioned report. The Drugs Intervention Programme is now housed within Newport Central Police Station although the OPCC do still utilise the office space rented in Pembroke House.

We do not hold any further information as to whether buildings within the estate will remain open (other than those referenced in the above mentioned report) as these are matters that will be considered and decided upon, as they arise, within the development and implementation of the Estate Strategy over forthcoming years. However, the Commissioner has publicly stated that he has no desire to withdraw estate provision from communities.
