Public Service Boards
Introduced under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, Public Service Boards (PSBs) were established to improve partnership working between public services in each Local Authority area in Wales.
There are five PSBs in Gwent:
Each PSB consists of statutory and invited members. Statutory members are: Local Authorities, Local Health Boards, Fire and Rescue Authorities and Natural Resources Wales; invited members include Welsh Ministers, Chief Constables, probation services, Police and Crime Commissioners and voluntary organisations.
The Commissioner and his Office attend PSB meetings in each Local Authority area within Gwent, collaborating with partners to promote community safety and support work that delivers on the five priorities in the Police and Crime Plan.
