Partnership Fund

Betwenn 2013-2017, the Police and Crime Commissioner established an annual fund of at least £150,000, which was designed to assist charities, voluntary organisations and community groups involved in activities that had a positive impact on the communities they served in Gwent, whilst at the same time contributing towards delivering the Commissioner’s priorities.

This Fund was made up of monies recovered via the Proceeds of Crime Act; the Police Property Act; and where necessary, was supplemented from within the Commissioner’s overall budget.  A formalised bid process was administered by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), with bids scrutinised by a panel made up of representatives of the OPCC, the Force, Gwent Youth Forum, community groups and other partners.
