Transparency is key in ensuring the public is able to hold the Commissioner to account for providing an efficient and effective police service for Gwent.

As well as the information we have a legal responsibility to provide under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 and The Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information) Order 2011, we have also agreed to make the agendas and minutes of the Strategy and Performance Board (SPB) and the Joint Audit Committee (JAC) available.  The SPB is where the Commissioner holds the Chief Constable to account and the JAC provides comments, advice and assurance on matters relating to the internal control environment of both the Chief Constable and the Commissioner.

Information relating to the Police and Crime Panel, the body that holds the Commissioner to account is available here, as well as a link to their website where there is access to agenda and minutes and dates of their meetings which are to be held in public.

Budgetary information for the Chief Constable and the Commissioner can be found here, along with the precept leaflet distributed to all households in Gwent.

Also available is a list of decisions made by the Commissioner as well as information on Performance and a list of publications, all of which inform the public of the work of the Commissioner and Gwent Police.
