The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) provides support to the Commissioner in carrying out his duties and responsibilities.
There are currently 15 staff in the Commissioner's office. Led by the Chief of Staff, they provide a wide range of support and advice to the Commissioner in areas such as meetings and engagement, equality and diversity, and performance.
The staff are also responsible for ensuring that the Commissioner is fully up-to-date and briefed on any policy changes at either a local, regional or national level.
As well as the statutory posts of the Chief of Staff and the Chief Finance Officer there are 13 full time permanent posts and 2 part time posts within the OPCC. We also have 2 full time secondees from Gwent Police within the OPCC.
